Official Status

GETA – The Green European Transport Association of Research & Development Organisations and Professional Persons – is an independent, international, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organisation which associates on the principles of voluntary legal entities or physical persons who are active on a professional basis in the filed of market oriented research and development focused on green (i.e. environment friendly) transport and logistics. GETA is an independent legal entity

The mission of the association is to support and generate new European market oriented research and development projects in the area of sustainable and environment friendly (green) kinds of transport and logistics

Objectives and main activities

Membership

Each member of the GETA has the right to...

  1. Take part in any form of the GETA activities
  2. Actively take part in events organized by GETA with presentation, providing PR documents and materials, promoting in event materials, in GETA documents and to exhibit the results of research and development
  3. Make use of the benefits rising from membership in the GETA; if the member is a legal person operating in research and development within transport and logistics, he can benefit from GETA publicity
  4. Ask the GETA bodies for references and support in negotiations with third parties
  5. Ask for information about the GETA meetings, meetings and actions of international partners of GETA
  6. Present proposals, comments and complaints and put questions to the GETA bodies
  7. Present proposals for the organization of GETA events relating to its work within the professional, consultation and certification framework
  8. As the physical person (member or the representative of a legal entity) to vote and to be voted to the statutory bodies of the GETA at the annual GETA General Assembly
  9. Use the GETA logo on the members’ business documents, presentations and PR documents
  10. Request for convocation of an extraordinary meeting of the GETA General Assembly; such a request must be accompanied by a guarantee of attendance by at least 50% of GETA members

Responsibilities of GETA members...

  1. To observe the GETA Statutes
  2. To pay the agreed membership fees on schedule
  3. To support and publicize the GETA to the third parties
  4. To support the GETA activities and promote its good reputation in all member countries and worldwide; legal entities have to allow the active participation of their employees at the GETA meetings
  5. To protect the GETA interests
